   Here is a ONE OF A KIND  FACTORY ERROR album offered up for auction: A SUPER RARE MISS PRESSED ALBUM: Intended to be THE DOORS first album on Elektra Records EKS-74007 stereo, but SIDE ONE is actually side one of TIM BUCKLEY's first album! The guys at the factory grabbed the WRONG stamper for side 1!!! This miss press is a circa 1970 pressing with butterfly labels! Has vintage and appropriate Elektra "Something Out Of The Ordinary" (indeed!) printed inner sleeve! Deadwax stamp reads: SIDE One EKS74004A-1A (Buckley) and SIDE two EKS74007B-20 (Doors)!
The vinyl grades EX, close to NEAR MINT, is clean and glossy, has a couple of very faint marks, looks rarely played! Has been PLAY TESTED, both sides play great from start to finish with very good sound quality, no skips, no jumps, minimal surface noise, an enjoyable listen! The cover rates NEAR MINT has deep color, is clean, no splits, no tape, all edges and corners solid NM, binder edge NM and readable, only flaw is faint ring wear, no signatures or writing, no stains!  (see photos).
   Side ONE: side one of the 1966 Tim Buckley first album, self titled "TIM BUCKLEY", released on Elektra Records EKS-74004 Stereo. This album was produced by THE DOORS producers Paul Rothchild and  Bruce Botnick, just before the Doors hit the scene! This 19 year old artist with "a voice full of character" and music described as "complex mosaics of sound", a very enjoyable listening first offering! Also features band members Lee Underwood, James Fielder, Billy Mundi, and Van Dyke Parks. (Parks was also a collaborator with the Beach Boys Brian Wilson on numerous projects) This is side one featuring songs "I Can't Tell You, Wings, Song Of The Magician, Strange Street Affair Under Blue, Valentine Melody, Arn't You The Girl".    Side TWO: side two of THE DOORS' first album self titled "THE DOORS", released in 1967 on Elektra Records EKS-74007. This side features songs "Back Door Man, I Looked At You, End Of The Night, Take It As It Comes, The End"." Being that these two artists were produced by the same guys, these two odd sides flow together quite nicely!! This could very well be the only one like this to slip by the quality control people at the big E! Gotta love it!!
