I am finally selling some of my personal record collection. I either bought the records new, when they first came out, or bought them secondhand around the time.
I have owned this record since I was 13 years old (In 1978!) and I bought it secondhand. I never bought records that had been abused so it had to be good for me to buy it in the first place!
It has always been looked after and played on decent record players since my ownership.
I would say this record is a strong VG/VG as per the Record Collector grading guide detailed below. I am being fussy here as I know fellow collectors are.
The record has surface noise in the quiet spoken intro but disappears as soon as the song kicks in. Again, surface noise in the run out grooves. Same with the B side...surface noise during the spoken bit and then gone as soon as the song kicks in and in the run out as per A side.
The Sleeve has a light stain on the front near Polys mouth...look at the picture, and a small "Nick" in the opening to the sleeve. Other than that its fine. Examine the pictures for yourself and ensure you are happy with what you see.
I have play graded this on a LINN Sondek LP12 record player with Adikt cartridge and i will include a CD copy of the record taken direct from the vinyl using a Pioneer CD recorder (Not a USB turntable type set up).

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
