I have followed and collected this band for 30 years and am sad to announce that due to circumstances beyond my control, I am reluctantly selling some of the more choice items from my collection.
This is one of them:
This is definitely unique. I assume this acetate was cut for internal use for an executive in the US. As any true XTC fan knows, this is the first track on their second album, Go2. To have 'Meccanic Dancing' which was never released  as a single, on a 12" is truly astounding.
The label is from The Columbia Recording Studios, 49 East 52nd Street, New York. It has a studio reference 6.1.82 with an acetate no PAL 38152. It says XTC 'Go2' Side A Band #1 For international.
It is a 12" one sided acetate with the track cut on one side. It is in mint condition and plays perfectly with a smell that only the very finest acetates possess!
I am genuinely distressed to have to put this gem up for auction. Please bid generously.
