XTC. Science Friction/She's So Square original, UK withdrawn single.

The Holy Grail of punk/new wave records? If rumours are true only about 500 or so of these were left having been withdrawn.

This doesn't have the picture cover, just a plain black one. The A side is VG+/Ex- and plays well with a nice clear bright sound. There is a visible line on part of the vinyl but this doesn't sound. The B side has a distinct mark on it - see photo - which does sound. But neither side jumps or sticks. The vinyl lifts very slightly in one place when on the turntable. I hesitate to call it a warp though. Certainly there is no deterioration in sound.

This doesn't come up for auction very often. So happy bidding.
