Description

Here is an unbelievable find. It is an absolute original FIRST PRESSING of Captain Beefheart's 1969 masterpiece "Trout Mask Replica" (Straight STS 1053). Unlike the majority of copies you will find, this one has the correct catalog number (STS 1053) on the labels! That marks it as a genuine first edition. The jacket is only in VG condition with general wear. However, it can easily be swapped out with a jacket from a copy with less-desirable vinyl condition. Both albums are in gorgeous, like-new VG+/NM condition with no issues. The labels clearly show the original catalog number and there are no spindle trails to be found. As an extra bonus, the original lyric/artwork sheet is included. I would grade that as somewhere between VG and VG+ with no tears or any other real issues. Don't miss out on an opportunity to own the absolute original first edition of this landmark album. You will be hard-pressed to find a copy with cleaner vinyl!
