Xentrix Ghost Busters Vinyl Maxi Single Album Sleeves (no records) Signed By Band 1990 VERY RARE
Xentrix (pronounced "zen-tricks") are an English thrash metal band from Preston, Lancashire, England. The band were formed in 1984 under the name Sweet Vengeance. They changed their name to Xentrix in 1988, and released four albums – Shattered Existence (1989), For Whose Advantage? (1990), Kin (1992) and Scourge (1996) – before splitting up in 1997. Xentrix reunited once again in 2013, and released their first album in 23 years, Bury the Pain, in 2019. As part of the underground metal scene of the late 1980s and early-to-mid 1990s, Xentrix has been referred to as one of the "big four" of English thrash metal, along with Acid Reign, Onslaught and Sabbat.
In 1990, the band faced a small bit of controversy/publicity surrounding the release of their cover of Ray Parker, Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" theme, in which the original artwork for the single had unauthorized use of the Ghostbusters logo (with the ghost flicking a V Sign). The single was subsequently re-released using a different cover.
There were two releases of this maxi-single. The first sleeve was quickly withdrawn for featuring the ghostbusters logo giving the middle finger. This copy is very rare and also signed by the band. Also included is the released version of the Ghost Busters maxi-single. They are the sleeves only, given to me by the band at a gig in Preston, where the band and myself are from. This is a very rare highly sought after collector's set of the two sleeves (only) of their notorious Ghost Busters release.
The record sleeves are in very good condition having been protected within a clear plastic sleeve. Very special. NOTE: No records are included.
