Description
YAFA YARKONI
(also spelled Yafah, Yaffa and Yaffah and the
last name is also spelled Yarqoni)
private pressing double disc set of 12 inch singles,
they are in plain white jackets
with notes written on the jackets and also
printed notes taped to each jacket.
Disc one:
Disc one has two songs and is a single sided vinyl pressing
(back side is smooth and without grooves)
Yafah Yarkoni and the boy Kovi Segal:
1. AIZEH SHIGAYON ("WHAT FOOLISHNESS")(3:31),
children's music.
Lyrics by Ilana Luft, set to music by Arthur Gurevits.
2. YESODATA ("ITS FOUNDATION")(3:30),
Hasidic tune, words from "The Sources",
music by Miryam Takdah.
Musical arrangement by Uzi Asner.
Vinyl is visually graded VG+,
due to a small finger felt mark and some minor pressing defects
consisting of small bumps.
We play-graded the vinyl and it plays excellently,
only the small mark in the middle of track 2 makes a
very brief click sound for a couple of revolutions.
The small bumps track fine on
our Technics 1200 turntable tracking at 3.5 grams.
Disc two has only one song and is also a single-sided vinyl pressing,
with no grooves on back side.
1. HA-SAVTAH SHE-PA'AM AHAVTA
("THE GRANDMOTHER YOU ONCE LOVED")
(no track timing is listed), words by Yoram Taharlev,
music and arrangement: Kovi Osheret.
Vinyl looks VG++ / "almost-mint",
we spot-checked the sound and it's excellent.
Both records are in poly-lined sleeves.
