THIS NEAR PERFECT RARE MILESTONE MONO ALBUM HAS BEEN IN MY PERSONAL COLLECTION SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN 1964.This is the first YARDBIRDS album, it is a live recording at the famous London Marquee Club and captures their pre-commercial R&B period. The sleeve notes state "some parts of the performance could have been better, maybe , the recording itself could be improved", however this was 1964 and the art of Live recording was in its infancy... My view is that it is raw and exciting, close your eyes and your back in the Marquee Club in the early sixties, part of the crowd listening to one of the most influential bands of the time.
The Line up was Keith Relf, Paul Samwell-Smith, Chris Dreja , Jim McCarty , and a very young but very talented Eric "Slowhand" Clapton .
This copy of the Five Live is in Near Perfect condition and plays outstandingly well for a 40 year old vinyl live recording .
This is a First Pressing milestone Album of the 60s and would grace any vinyl record collection.
