Earliest FIRST PRESSING!! “Patents Pending”.
Up for auction is this extremely difficult to find album of the 60’s Yardbirds in anything like decent condition. Here we have a fine example showing only some mild ageing to the cover only; and I mean mild,
NOTE: All my records in this listing were bought as new by one lady owner when first released.
COVER: RARE First print “Patents Pending” G+L Flip back type. The back is nice and bright and clean with only minimal ageing showing. Please see scans. Front has totally intact laminate with the small exception of a small area of laminate lift @ the SE corner, but is not adrift. Otherwise, nice and bright and clean. Shows very mild ageing only. Please see all scans. Graded EX to EX+.
VINYL: Virtually unblemished. Definitely no stylus marks, Visually in normal light, appears almost perfect. Still retains its just pressed glossy sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. Totally unmarked. Graded; a very strong EX++.
LABELS: Original Blue/Black Columbia. Truly lovely pair. No writing. Or ugly marks.. Just a couple of light spindle trails on side two only. KT Tax code. “Sold in the UK….” Text.

INNER SLEEVE: Plain white “Patents Applied” as issued for this First pressing’. Just some mild glue discolouration only. EX.
AUDIO: As you would expect from vinyl this good, coupled with stunning MONO sounds. Virtually mint play back. You won’t hear better than this unless you buy a sterile CD. Even then, you would be hard pushed to tell the difference. If you’ve been searching hard to find the best sounding vinyl of this brilliant album, then stop now. You’ve just found it. No exaggeration.
To sum up. This is a true classic of the mid 60’s genre and so hard to find in this truly collectable condition. Definitely a MUST HAVE ALBUM of very good quality, and would certainly be a great addition to any existing collection. The sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history - and enjoy!!
