All original albums by Yardbirds, the first-ever supergroup (which included at different times Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page on solo guitar) are very coveted and valuable and highly collectable, especially in good condition, such as the copy of this classic Yardbirds album we are offering here. This mega-rare 1969 compilation was issued to cash in on the band's disintegration to make way for Led Zeppelin; still, this is probably the finest Yardbirds compilation ever issued; the material is carefully selected to highlight the guitar prowess of Yardbirds' three God-like lead guitarists. The album rocks start-to-finish. And, guess what, folks? The vinyl still sounds light years better than the various CD compilations out there on the market. This is the Yardbirds anthology to beat!!!

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)            The records are pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           The records come in their original stock inner sleeves.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

(e)           Mono copies of this album are NOT known to exist.

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

-        Minor yellowing noted on the INSIDE gatefold   (nothing significant)

-        Cover has a small stamp on the front panel

-         Cover has one corner slightly worn / dinged (nothing significant)

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2 (front side) and 3 (back side)

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the bottom seam (nothing significant)
