COVER: VG+. Gatefold cover is solid, PROMO sticker on front, has edge wear, 1/2 inch CUT slice in lower left corner.
VINYL: VG+. Shiny and clean, light paper scuffs on side 1, light scuff on side 2.
LABEL CONDITION: white PROMO Atlantic labels are clean with some spindle marks.

COMMENTS: US original WHITE LABEL PROMO album. The tracks, Close To The Edge and And You and I are BOTH BANDED for radio station airplay. See labels for times. The bands allowed radio stations to cue specific parts of these iconic long tracks. DJ stampers in matrix. Includes original lyric inner record sleeve. The classic album, Close To The Edge, by Yes!!! Yes and British prog/rock as its absolute finest. RARE as a BANDED WLP!!

My goal is to keep the dream alive for the art of collecting and selling PROMOTIONAL albums, from the 60's and 70's in jazz and rock n' roll. PROMO albums are usually 1st pressings, they get released prior to the stock copies, and are generally as close to the master tape as the listener can obtain. They are pressed in extremely limited quantities, many get trashed by radio stations, but collecting them in top quality has been my specialty for many years. I also sell some hard to find ORIGINAL stock US, UK and Canadian pressings LP's. AND AS ALWAYS...ALL records are from MY OWN PERSONAL collection of over 50 years and....NO JUNK!!!
ALL my vinyl is visually graded and then PLAY graded on a REGA P3 turntable, through a McINTOSH MA6300 Integrated Amplifier and 2 original JBL Century 100 speakers!!!
I clean all my records with a PROFESSIONAL Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine and pack ALL records carefully!! FIRST, the records are cleaned, then placed in the inner sleeve outside of the record cover and inserted into a clear plastic outer record sleeve. SECOND, albums are bubble wrapped for safety and mailed in a STRONG cardboard record mailer box!!
