Up for sale here:

YES ~ DRAMA .  Atlantic Records K50736. UK LP released 1980.  This is an original UK first pressing on the Green / Orange Atlantic label.  The LP comes complete in the original gatefold sleeve and also has the green lyric inner sheet present.  First matrix for this LP of K 50736 AII and BII denotes very first pressing.

What is remarkable about this copy is the weight of the vinyl, it weighed in at 172g!!  and has to be one of the heaviest ever records from this era! I have another first press of Drama that weighs in around 40g less, much more typical, but for some reason this copy is super heavy and has a wonderful solid feel about it.  Superb!

This LP is part of a small collection of Tull LP’s where the condition is quite simply outstanding. It is rare that I can say “this LP is as good as the day it left the factory” – but in this instance it is true!!!

Overall condition: NEAR MINT

Sleeve: NEAR MINT.

The gatefold outer sleeve is in fantastic NEAR MINT condition.    All edges are razor sharp and unworn. The front and back covers have no marks or damage of any consequence whatsoever.

This sleeve is in phenomenal condition, as good as the day it was bought!!

Inner Sleeve: NEAR MINT

The Inner sleeve is a generic white inner.

Vinyl: (LP) NEAR MINT

The vinyl is in NEAR MINT condition.  There are just a few very feint hairlines which are visible only under an extremely bright halogen light.  The records from this collection were all kept in fantastic condition, and this one is no exception. Lovely condition.

Matrix No’s:

Side A: K 50736 A II  - “Strawberry” is also stamped and “Sean” is also etched

Side B: K 50736 B II

I inspect all records under a very bright halogen lamp that reveals all marks and wear and I make my grading based only on what is visible under these conditions.

Labels: MINT

The  labels are in mint condition and are totally clean and unmarked

Other Tull and Yes LP’s for auction:

This LP has come from the private collection of an individual who has cared for these records incredibly well and most have hardly been played at all!

They are about the best condition LP’s from the 1970’s; 80’s and 90’s that I have ever come across.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to own some of the highest graded examples of these LP’s.

All records have been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s
