Detailed Grading: -

Outer Sleeve: VG

The outer sleeve is in VG condition.  It shows general signs of wear, mainly to the edges and spine, but the front and back covers are free from any significant problems and the sleeve colours remain bright and clear.

Vinyl: Side 1 VG   Side 2 : EX

The vinyl retains it’s original deep black gloss shine beautifully.  Side 1 has a marks across side 1 which is quite visible but is actually a abrasion marks rather than a scratch.  Whilst there is background noise evident on side 1 in particular, the mark itself doesn’t produce a pop or louder noise when played through.  Being an original 1st press the dynamics of the audio are very impressive with lovely deep bass and clear audio playback.  Overall it’s not a mint copy but is above average and whilst not dead quiet, the audio is very vibrant and clear.

Matrix Numbers:

2401 019   A//1   1 1  5
2401 019   B//1   1  1 8

Labels: EX+

Nice and clean with no writing or other damage and perfectly clean.

Inner Sleeve : VG+

A generic poly lined inner sleeve is included, not the original I’d say, but it does date from the 1970’s.  No seam splits, just some creasing present.

Postage and Packing:

All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
