English progressive rockers Yes have had an amazing career. Begining in the late 60s, the band has recorded albums during every decade since! In the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, the 2000s, the 2010s, AND the 2020s! EVERY decade! The lineup has changed many times through the years, but the sound has always been unique and prolific. A great example of a progressive rock band that has truly evolved through time. And still making new music and touring! Long time bassist, backing vocalist, songwriter, and bass player Chris Squire passed away in 2015. (RIP Chris. You paved the way for this band to last over fifty years. You were an amazing musician, and we're lucky to have you in most of the great legacy of Yes music left to us.)

The spotlight today is on TWO vintage Yes albums, from 1977 and 1978, and reissued on modern day picture disc LPs! And the best part? They are BOTH STILL SEALED, and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! Yes released 'Going For the One', orginally, in 1977. The artwork is very avant-garde, and features a nude man. (Put some clothes on, will ya! Lol) The album cover was designed by the Hipgnosis firm, with Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell at the helm. Thorgerson, of course, designed several Pink Floyd album covers, as well as covers for Led Zeppelin, UFO, Black Sabbath, Ween, Kansas, and more! This album also saw keyboardist Rick Wakeman return, as he had left in '73 for a solo career.

In 1978, Yes utilized that same classic lineup, for the album 'Tormato', before changing in 1980. The cover's artwork was once again designed by Hipgnosis, but they used the logo designed by Roger Dean. (Dean did the fantasy art for the early album covers. Then returned again several more times.) It is reported that the band didn't really care for the cover's artwork. Check it out, as it's a picture with a tomato thrown at it! The album didn't really have hits that rock radio latched on to. "Don't Kill the Whale" was a cut that only a few radio stations were brave (and cool) enough to play!

In today's awesome good deal, you get not one, but TWO Yes picture discs LPs! Still sealed! Never taken out of their original PVC jackets, never had the seals broken, and never saw a turntable! But go ahead, and play them. Today's modern day pic discs usually sound great! You get BOTH of these classic Yes albums, 'Tormato' and 'Going For the One', in this crazy good deal! For Yes fans, that loved one in your life who's a Yes fan, fans of progressive rock, and collectors of picture discs. Or you can always snatch these up for yourself!
