Description

MEGA RARE YES RELAYER. Amazing conditioned 1st Pressing A1/B1 matrices

Perfect play graded. TOP condition 1st class.

Hi and a BIG thank you for your time to view my items.
And sorry to put the boring stuff first but it is important that you understand my terms and conditions so that everything goes smoothly and there are no disgruntled people only very happy people.

Before you look and read my listings please take the time to read my Terms and Conditions, you will find them at the bottom of my listing and unless I have mis-written them I believe they are quite clear.
On my last listings buyers were paying me minutes after the end of my auctions. I’m very happy for this to happen. I send items by the final weight after packing and protection have been added now for 1 LP to be posted with an average weight is around 600grams. I weigh every item that is won and use the royal mail website to give me the correct cost of sending this item.
The cost to send 1 LP by First Class signed for is £4.10. 2nd class £3.70. Look at the Royal Mail website. To send items overseas to Europe is £11.70. To Japan £15.20 other countries will be around the same cost. If you wish to purchase more items from my auction and win, then these costs will change as it will be calculated on weight.
IF ANY WINNING BIDDER CONTACTS ME AND ASKS FOR A REDUCED POSTAL COST BECAUSE OF MULTIPLE WINS THEN I WILL CANCEL THE TRANSACTION. NO EXCEPTIONS.
I am not making money on this and I fail to see why I should send items at a lower cost as was pointed out to me by one winner who was prepared to open a case against me. I am also not putting a fictitious cost so that it may gain me more bids.
If you disbelieve me then please visit our Royal Mail website
www.royalmail.com/price-finder and check the cost for yourself.
Please also note I will not send any item by any other means other than Signed for, or International signed for. With NO EXCEPTIONS.
If an item is won over £50 I will also not send this without insurance, again No exceptions.

.

I have once again after a very long break to list hopefully a varied selection of items from a very large collection that I have been collecting over many years. .

Now I’m not here to have an open debate or argument with anyone in the Ebay community, whether they be a professional or amateur seller or collector but over my collecting years there is always an element of surface or background noise/sound with audio reproduction on vinyl reproduction, I have purchased sealed audiophile heavyweight pressings that have suffered from some surface noise and in the very odd case were totally unplayable. I have purchased sealed records straight from the factory and these have suffered some degree of surface noise, it’s inherent in the pressing of vinyl and the way it is produced.
All used vinyl has at least light marks and surface scratches which are always visible when viewed under a bright light, ( in my opinion a scratch is one that can be actually felt and not a mark caused by the LP-LP's being taken out to be played.) my advice would be to stick to CD if you are after total blackout silence or are after glass like perfection. Myself I believe surface noise adds to an emotional experience of reality which can not be matched by CD only my opinion

All the records (LP’s and 7 inch singles) that I intend to put onto Ebay for sale are 2nd hand either my own or have been given to me and have in many cases been played, some more than others. But I will always highlight this fact when grading, if the vinyl has surface marks or other defects these will be pointed out also.

I’m very sorry but I don’t always have time to play grade every single item, and the majority of my grading is done by purely visual means, so please view my feedback and you will see that I try to give the best account on the condition of any item I put up for auction.

This is my hobby and not my profession.

I will though play LP’s, and singles that are very collectable to get a better insight to the playing condition of the item being sold for auction.

I will never play/sound grade coloured vinyl or picture discs, they were made as limited edition collector's items only and the vinyl used to do this was of a lower quality. They will more likely have crackle and pop with background noise. They were made only to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, rather than have audiophile sound quality.
Now I accept that the above may differ from any winning bidders perception of what I have graded. I cannot always vouch for whether every record plays all the way through in total black silence with no noise. If you have any doubts then please email me or again just view my feedback.

I only grade in line with UK Record Collector grading system as set out in the book, and do not use USA Goldmine grading.  The only difference I make against the Record Collector grading system is I grade a record Mint if its sealed, I do not believe a record to be mint if not sealed. My highest grade for an opened lp is near mint. I grade under a strong light that picks out any imperfections on the vinyl.

If for any reason you disagree with my grading please email me through the ebay message system and lets resolve the matter as adults before leaving negative feedback. Everybody on here believes they are an expert well we are not, we are human and can sometimes get things wrong. If I have got it so wrong I will work with you to resolve it.  I can not be any fairer than that, but please check my feedback you will see I do not get it wrong that often, I try very hard to give an accurate description, apart from the one member who left negative because I would not be subjected to feedback hostaging.
International buyers are responsible for any customs charges incurred.
If an International buyer returns an item it’s very important that you mark return on the customs form because if you do not and I get a letter with a import charge on it I will not pay. This is a return and the LP will simply get sent back to you as Returned Goods are not charged for by UK Customs
Should you wish to return a LP as set out in Ebay policies the buyer is responsible for return postage, this means I pay one way, you the buyer will have to pay the other way.
All LPs won by International buyers will be sent International Signed For there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this, also if you are from Russia it seems items are taking 8-12 weeks to be delivered, I will post as soon as payment is received and will enter tracking on the order page for you to view, once that's done its down to the Russian postal service to deliver it. There is nothing more I can do. If your impatient and cannot wait without opening a dispute when you can clearly see its on its way to you on the tracking, then please by all means buy off another seller.
YES: Relayer Rare 1st pressing 1974 UK picture label 3-track vinyl LP with A1/B1 matrices and 'Pecko/Porky' run-out groove etching, known for being influenced by Patrick Moraz who took over for this album whilst Rick Wakeman temporarily departedthe band with Moraz's more eclectic, percussive style of playing making a unique mark in the Yes sound and making the album stand out in the back catalogue. Including the incredible 'The Gates Of Delerium', Roger Dean designed gatefold picture sleeve complete with thick card lyric inner. K50096.
The LP was played on my Elite Rock, Ittok tone arm and Blue Point special EVO III front end with Lavardin amplification and through Impulse H6 speakers.

The sound was stunning amazing depth and clarity of the soundstage. The music was rock solid. The LP played throughout with no distortion. Overall the sound and staging were awesome for a 40 year old LP and would easily rate this 10/10 for sound quality. Having now listened to this LP through both sides I would claim this has hardly had more than 2/3 plays. The LP played with no loud pops or crackle throughout both sides.

THE COVER: The gatefold picture cover shows minimal wear to the bottom edge and corners. The cover remains free from any writing or other visual damage.
I have graded the cover in NEAR MINT condition.

THE BACK COVER: The back cover shows very light scuffing where the LP has been stored but remains free from any writing or other visual damage. And has been graded in NEAR MINT condition.

THE INNER SLEEVE: The thick card lyric inner is in pristine crisp condition with no visual signs of damage and has been graded in NEAR MINT condition

THE VINYL: The vinyl retains a mirrored like beautiful shine to both playing surfaces and shows minimal hairline marks when held up and viewed under a strong light. There are no deep scratches or any other defects. I have graded the LP in NEAR MINT condition.

THE LABELS: The labels show no spindle marks and probably has never been played although I can not prove this fact. Both labels are in NEAR MINT condition with no writing on any of the surfaces.

MATRIX NUMBERS.: The matrix numbers stamped into the run-out grooves are.
