Description

Hi, I am a private collector selling part of my collection.
I will use visual and audio gratings. I have been a collector for many years and know how disappointing it is to receive a record that has not been properly graded. I hope to be very accurate as regards the audio as well as giving details of any hairlines/scratches on the vinyl. I will use the Record Collector Grading System and supplement this with additional information.  Every record is play tested on my Linn LP12. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with a purchase i offer a 'Returns Accepted' guarantee. (Buyer pays return postage). The record for sale is 'Tales from Topographic Oceans' by Yes This is a double album released on the 7th December 1973. The matrix numbers are: Side one:   K80001 A2 Side two:   K80001 B2 Side three: K80001 C1 Side four:   K80001 D3
All four sides of the album are in MINT condition with no sign of play. There are no marks/hairlines etc.. I have never played this album while it was in my collection so I decided to take one careful play to access the audio. All four sides sound great and I would have to grade the audio as NEAR MINT.
The four labels are in MINT condition with no spindle traces visible.
The gatefold cover is in superb condition. I have shown detailed photos of the cover.  The main wear on the cover can be seen in photo 6. There is no standing wear on the bottom edges of the gatefold but there is some wear on the top edges. Photo 6 shows the view from above looking down on the top edges. Here you can clearly see some rubbing on the front top edge and some rubbing to the back top edge. There is also a little rub at the top of the spine shown in photo 4. On the front of the cover there is one tiny crease running toward the spine.  All the edges and corners are great as is the spine. The back of the cover is superb with no damage and no creases. The inside of the gatefold is near mint with just the lightest signs of rub but barely visible. Overall I would grade this cover as EXCELLENT +
The records are stored in 2 DECCA  polylined inner sleeves which are in NEAR MINT condition.
