This record is in excellent+ condition. It has light spindle marks visible on the labels but no pen marks, scuffs or fading anywhere. The centres are not loose and overall the iconic red/plum Atlantic labels are in great shape with just the light spindle marks to report.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything remotely serious and have a lovely gloss. There are a couple of very light minor wispy lines just visible in normal light but nothing at all major as I say. These and a few more extremely minor wispy lines are visible under very bright white light but again nothing sinister. The record has no nasty scuffs or blemishes and has a lovely vivid shine. It is in great shape for 45 years old and has nothing remotely serious evident.
I play tested the record and it plays really well and sounds superb. It lays flat, there is next to no movement in the record arm and the sound produced is fantastic throughout with little to no interference. Its crisp, defined and really clear with next to no interference or surface noise audible as I say. There is a hint in the run in on both sides and I heard the most minimal trace in the very quiet intro on side 2 but the vast majority is completely surface noise free. There are of course no skips, sticks or clicks and no pops or any other serious issues. It was a thoroughly enjoyable play test and produced audio of very high quality with little to no interference or distortion.
The gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. It has wear and rubbing to the edges and corners(pics), and the writing along the spine is now only partially legible. Despite this wear there are no splits or weak areas anywhere and overall the sleeve is strong all round. It has no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere and only a very slight ring mark showing on the rear. There are no major issues with creasing with just a few minor short ones emanating from the spine and edges. There is only a hing of fading in places and only a very minor amount of general age related grubbiness. Inside the gatefold has no major issues to report and overall the sleeve is in pretty good shape and is a strong VG with just the edge wear as its main issue. I have tried to capture the sleeves issues as best I can in the pictures provided so please study these to gain as much information as possible.
It includes a brand new plain white inner as the original was missing.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try and ensure a swift delivery.
