Description

Hi, I am a private collector selling part of my collection.
I will use visual and audio gratings. I have been a collector for many years and know how disappointing it is to receive a record that has not been properly graded. I hope to be very accurate as regards the audio as well as giving details of any hairlines/scratches on the vinyl. I will use the Record Collector Grading System and supplement this with additional information.  Every record is play tested on my Linn LP12. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with a purchase i offer a 'Returns Accepted' guarantee. (Buyer pays return postage). I will post worldwide and intend to only charge what it costs to package and post the item to the address.  Please wait for my invoice or contact me in advance of bidding.  All records will be posted in proper secure record mailers with the record separated from the cover and using cardboard stiffeners for extra security. Thank you
The record for sale is the 1970 First Pressing of 'Time and a Word' by Yes. This record is EXTREMELY RARE in this respect. Nearly all first pressings have the matrix numbers A1 B2 This is the ULTRA RARE A1 B1 (almost never seen) See photo number 5. Nearly all of 'Time and A Word' sold have the matrix endings A1 B2 Check out the website -  'Popsike' to clarify what I am saying. The website 'Discogs' have no record of  an A1 B1 Some even say that they don't think an A1 B1 exists.  Well it does and here it is. It is also in magnificent condition. Looks unplaced. The matrix numbers are: Side one: 2400006 A1 112  Side two: 2400006 B1 111
The record is in superb NEAR MINT condition with NO marks/hairlines. Both sides of the vinyl have a just pressed new look. It plays NEAR MINT with nothing to fault. The labels are the the very first with 'Feldman / Campbell Connelly credits. I can see one fine spindle trace on the side 1 label and maybe two - three spindle traces on the side 2 label.
I have included more photos of the cover and have tried to show it in detail.
The cover is not laminated so can be prone to wear There are no tears or splits on the cover however it does have some wear as shown. The front of the cover has some rubbing and some light signs of handling.  The back of the cover is in a similar condition.  The spine has slightly light discoloured through exposure to the light. All the writing on the spine is clear and free from any rubbing.  This is the first press cover with the 'Pinched' spine endings. I would grade the cover as VERY GOOD.
The original lyric inner is included and is in excellent very clean condition with only a mild crease on the top left corner. (See photo) The original poly lined cover is also in excellent condition with no tears or splits. It is date coded as shown (0470) April 1970. (Very early).
