This is the UK 1st press of 'The Yes Album' by Yes. This genuine 1st press is complete with the earliest Campbell Connelly label credit, the earliest A1//B1 matrix and heavy flat edge vinyl. The labels are plum and orange and have the 'Under Licence' text above the white strip. It is also has the 1st press matt gatefold MacNeill press sleeve, complete with earliest Atlantic Super and Manufactured by Polydor Records Ltd text.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. It has a sensational mirrored gloss, every track looks absolutely sensational. The grooves show no sign of play at all, there are just a couple of the very faintest wispy marks. The original plum Atlantic label is bold and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is exceptionally sharp and there is just the slightest spindle wear. The record is complete with the original inner sleeve.
When played the heavy earliest press vinyl has a bold, deep, rich original sound. There is slight noise in the quiet momentsbut it is still extremely clear and complete. Superb ausio - it can be enjoyed from start to finish.
The Atlantic Super gatefold sleeve is in Very Good condition. The edges and corners are firm and the text is sharp, there is just a little light wear. The colours are vivid, the white is bright and the black is bold. The spine is still firm and the inside has the slightest wear but is still very clean and bright.
