YES Yessongs UK 3LP 1st Press Book Sleeve Custom Yes Inners 1 matrix Nice EX!

Yes ~ Yessongs. Atlantic Records K60045.  Released 1973.

A really nice copy of true 1st Pressing of this LP. It comes with the book opening version of the sleeve, all matrix end in “1” and the inners are the correct original custom type with the Roger Dean Yes logo. The original photo booklet is also included. This set is also in really nice condition and has been well looked after.

Outer Sleeve: EX

The outer sleeve is in EX condition. It is the original and first “book opening” variety which has one central spine with four separate leaves to house the 3 LP’s and the colour booklet which is also included.  The outer sleeve is extremely clean seldom found in this condition.  Due to the physical size of this album it was often squashed into tight fitting covers which scraped the front cover or resulted in significant ring wear. This copy has no ring wear and any areas of damage or wear are generally small and isolated. There is some rubbing of the corners, more so on the spine side, please see the photos for more close ups of the sleeve condition.  Someone, probably the original owner has previously applied a thin line of tape to each of the sleeve opening edges.  The tape is no longer in place, but it has left some discolouration (but has not lifted the print) on some edges, although notabely on the front cover this is not easy to see! This copy is way above average condition, and one of the best copies I’ve seen over the years.

Vinyl: EX to EX+

The 3LP’s are in EX to EX+ condition, there are a few hairline marks on each which are generally very light and caused purely by removal from the un- lined original inners. Side 5 has a 1cm visible mark but which plays through with only minor noise. The LP’s are some of the better copies I’ve ever seen and whilst not entirely Mint, they are of a really nice standard and have clearly only been played a few times.  Superb.

Nice and clean with no writing or other damage and perfectly clean.

Inner Sleeves: EX- to EX

The custom inner sleeves with the Yes logos are generally in excellent condition.  They are unsplit and have some creasing and mild discolouration.

Photo Booklet: EX-

The photo booklet has moderate signs of use, and shows signs of having been looked through, but it is clean and undamaged.

Overall this is a really nice and truly original copy of this Yes triple live album.

Postage and Packing:

All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
