VINYL
M =Record is still sealed in the original factory shrink wrap.
NM =Record looks close to new with no marks.
EX =Record may have a few scuffs or light scratches which should not affect sound quality.
VG+ =Record has some scuffs and light scratches which may result in some minor surface noise during play.
VG =Record has clear wear on the surface. Surface noise may be present, including pops and crackles, but the record should play through nicely without any skips.
G =Record has significant signs of use but no deep gouges that would cause skips. Surface noise, pops and crackles should be expected.
COVER
M =Record is still sealed in the original factory shrink wrap.
NM =Cover looks close to new with virtually no signs of wear. Most records in this category are still in the original (opened) shrink wrap.
EX =Cover has some slight wear but is still in excellent condition overall. All seams are intact.
VG+ -Cover has signs of wear like scuffing, ring wear, writing or price tags. All seams are intact.
