Description
HERE'S one of the rarer records by WARING'S PENNSYLVANIANS: the 1932 "YOU'LL GET BY WITH THE TWINKLE IN YOUR EYE" and "FIT AS A FIDDLE (AND READY FOR LOVE)."
In 1933, Fred Waring looked at the depression-decimated record industry, and decided to bail out. He had been a mainstay on Victor records since 1924, with astoundingly arranged and executed sides, but decided to hang up his recording spurs. He stayed out of the studios for the first two terms of the Roosevelt administration, returning only in 1941. His last records before he quit in '33 were increasingly hot and accomplished! I mean, they're REALLY good! I suppose Fred did us a favor, avoiding as he did, the impending commercialities of the Depression and World War II.
This original 1932 "Scroll" Victor 24168 is in clean E condition. Recorded in brilliant Bell Labs "High Fidelity" sound!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.” I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
