Cult record. Cult band. This 12” was given 9 of 10 points by the FLEX book/website (US Hardcore/Punk). As you know, the YOUNG CANADIANS are the K-TELS. You are bidding on their legendary first 12” from 1979. They are from Vancouver, home of the MODERNETTES, DOA and PRIVATE SCHOOL. Here’s your chance to get their first and definitely best 12” release which goes by the title ‘Hawaii’ EP. This 4-tracker is extremely good. The same sold on eBay, in February, for $130 and in March for $129 (US). Engineered by Bob Rock who was also responsible for the legendary 12” EP by the SUBHUMANS (Death Was Too Kind) and is now famous for his work with METALLICA. And here is as additional the comment from the FLEX:

 

  • Great Canadian punk; the first and third track are pop punk with a surf edge, the other two are rougher and more political. Excellent EP. [9]  
  • Großartiger Punk aus Kanada. Der erste und der dritte Song haben ein poppiges Surf-Feeling, die anderen beiden sind härter und politischer. Exzellente Punkscheibe.

 

Original first pressing, released in original cardboard sleeve. Issued on famous Canadian punk label ‘Quintessence’ records in 1979 (catalogue number QEP 1201). With the band is Jim Bescott who also played the bass on the POINTED STICKS album ‘Perfect Youth’. All 4 tracks are mindblowing songs!!!

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).

 

Bezahlung / Payment: Deutsche per Banküberweisung. Non-Germans via PayPal. All orders outside Germany which exceed a value of €35, $50 or £30 will only be sent by registered mail. This requires the buyer to pay an additional €2, $3 or £2. All winners from Italy must pay for registered mail.
