Description
This is a 1962 ORIGINAL - NOT A REPRO, NOT A LATER REISSUE - U.S. Mercury Records DJ 45 containing the 'Northern soul' sides titled 'I'm A Lovin' Man'/Too Fine For Cryin'' from 'Mary Lou' R&B veteran Young Jessie. It is Mercury Records catalog number 72104, and appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell. Record comes packaged in an original Mercury Records stock company sleeve, which is in nice shape with just a few wrinkles. Condition of vinyl play surface is conservatively about a low to mid VG+ with most original gloss and a moderate amount of surface marks and light scuffs, a few of which visually appear to be prominent but none of which can be felt and none of which affect play. Record plays very nicely with a small amount of light scattered surface noise throughout. A-side label has a couple of tiny worn spots around the center hole, and both labels have a little contact wear as can be seen in the accompanying image, no other flaws.
