True First Pressing - Side 1 Matrix: DAL 38811-1A (Al Brown mastering


Condition: Archive Quality / Near Mint (NM) Vinyl


This is a stunning, complete 3-LP collector's edition of Yo-Yo Ma’s 1983 sessions of the Bach Cello Suites (CBS Masterworks D3 37867). This set is from a private, one-owner collection and has been meticulously stored.


The Vinyl: Near Mint (NM) / Archive Quality. Every side of all 3 records is exceptional. They maintain a mirror-like factory gloss with no visible scratches, scuffs, or blemishes.


True First Pressing: Matrix Side 1 confirms a first-state pressing: DAL 38811-1A with Al Brown mastering initials.


The Box: Very Good Plus (VG+). The box is structurally crisp and strong with sharp corners. Shows very minor "shelf wear," including light fading of the black finish on the back and along the sides.


Inserts & Booklet: Includes the original descriptive booklet and the Yo-Yo Ma insert (marked "Printed in Holland" in the lower right corner). Both are in Pristine/Mint condition—they look brand new and have clearly been handled with extreme care.


Inner Sleeves: Original sleeves are in great shape; please note one sleeve has a small, minor tear.


Sound: Early "I3M" Audiophile Digital Mastering, manufactured in the Netherlands for superior sound quality.

Shipping Note: This set will be professionally packed with heavy-duty bubble wrap and shipped in a sturdy record mailer to ensure it arrives in its current pristine condition.

One-Owner "Audiophile" Collection: This set was meticulously cared for as part of a single-owner private collection. The original owner was an enthusiast who used only high-end audio equipment, frequently replaced premium needles to prevent groove wear, and utilized specialized carbon fiber brushes to ensure the vinyl remained dust-free. You are buying a set that has been maintained to the highest possible standard


Sleeves are very good to very good. Plus - One inner sleeve has a small, minor tear, but all others are in excellent condition (see photos)
