Description
This is a very rare and hard to find 12" LP of Yusef Lateef's "Prayer To The East". Savoy MG 12117. Stamped Deadwax Matrix RVG in deadwax. Released in 1957, this album features Wilbur Harden, Hugh Lawson, Ernie Farrow, and Oliver Jackson. The cover is very nice strong VG+ (Excellent) with some light discoloration on the mouth, very slight split in center bottom seam and bottom edge near mouth, as well as the gloss cover intact in beautiful shape. Vinyl is nice strong VG to VG+ with some slight wear on around the splindle on side 2, vinyl has some fine surface scuff marks, few light surface scratches, there is a cosmetic surface scuff across Lover Man (not affecting play) and couple thin fine scratches on Love Dance, may hear some light background ticks. Record cleaned on VPI. Plays very well. Includes original Glassine innersleeve, has seam tears/rip, record will come shipped in generic white sleeve placed behind cover and Glassine innersleeve to protect seams from splitting in shipping.

Grading Scale:
10: Mint Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint.
9: Mint- Very clean, only a few light marks. A great record.
8: Excellent (VG++) Condition between 7 and 9.
7: VG+ Used, but not abused. Light scratches only. Should play, and look very nice with minimal surface noise.
6: VG Still a nice record. Looks a bit used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise.
5: VG- A bit rough but will play ok. Fills the collection.
4: G Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!!
