Description
Seriously decent playing copy of The Yardbirds' 1964 live album Five Live Yardbirds, with Eric Clapton on lead guitar.
This is the mono UK 1st pressing on the blue and black Columbia labels, with the 1N/1N matrices.
The front laminated flipback sleeve is graded VG+ overall, though the front cover is largely excellent. A few wrinkles and minor creasing here and there but no damage, writing or tears and the spine is nice and readable. It's graded down because of the back cover which has staining, wear and tear, a small bit of surface damage and wear to the bottom flipback. It grades Good to Good+, so combined with the front, I make it VG+ overall.
The vinyl has some scuffs and hairlines but nothing feelable – it plays through well and the music comes over loud and clear. A little surface noise at times but nothing much really for a 58-year-old record.
The blue and black labels are VG++ – just a little spindle wear.
And it comes with a nice waxed paper lined period inner sleeve in VG+ order.
A decent copy of an iconic album with a sensible start price. Sleeve would look great framed, too.
