Description
On offer here is a very rare original 1st UK pressing of The Yardbirds, Five Live Yardbirds.
This is the original 1964 Columbia black/blue mono pressing with black 'mono' on the flipback sleeve and matrix numbers XAX 2725 - 1N and XAX 2726 - 1N.
Condition-wise, the sleeve is really very good. Some edge wear commensurate with its age, no rips or tears. The rear of the sleeve has some discolouration but is very good as can be seen in the photos.
The vinyl plays beautifully. It has some light marks on side 1 that don't affect playback apart from some light crackling and the odd soft tic. Side 2 has a large scuff mark (see photos) that looks worse in the picture than it actually is. The scuff is largely superficial, the record plays through beautifully.
The Record Collector price for a mint copy of this is £250 so, although this cannot be described as mint, it really is a very good copy indeed and you could grab yourself a bargain!
