12-inch translucent yellow vinyl LP with pink Horizon Records labels printed “Promotion Not For Sale.” Original glossy picture sleeve with catalog number SP-736 printed on spine and record labels. Includes tracks such as “Computer Game,” “Firecracker,” “Cosmic Surfin’,” “Yellow Magic (Tong Poo),” and “La Femme Chinoise.”
Condition: VG+ vinyl, Very Good to VG+ sleeve. Vinyl appears clean and glossy. Labels are clean and bright. Sleeve shows light general shelf wear, mild edge wear, and minor corner rubbing. Faint surface wrinkle at upper right corner of front cover. A&M promotional sticker present on rear cover with “Promotion Not For Sale” designation. Spine legible with catalog number SP-736 clearly visible. A nice looking LP. See photos for more condition details.
Released in the United States on Horizon Records in 1979, Yellow Magic is the American issue of Yellow Magic Orchestra’s pioneering electronic music album produced by Haruomi Hosono. The album helped introduce YMO’s blend of synth-pop, electronic experimentation, and early video game-inspired sounds to Western audiences and includes the group’s influential version of Martin Denny’s “Firecracker.”
