Description
For sale is Yes' Fragile, released in 1972 by Atlantic Records in a gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the label and the last track is etched the initials "GP" followed by "Porky". This signifies that this record was mastered my the legendary cutting engineer George Peckham, who is known for his prowess at getting the best sound from vinyl. I bought this used and like all my records, cleaned it and put it away in a protective inner sleeve. This keeps any original inner sleeve or insert, as well as the vinyl from getting damaged. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The original 8 page booklet is Near Mint. The cover is graded VG+ because of shelf wear around the edges and there is a 4" seam split on the top of the back cover from this same edge wear. The spine has just a little bit of color loss. The vinyl is Near Mint, and sounds like new. This is the best copy of this album that I have seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one like it. This has been played on state-of-the-art equipment and has a lot of life left to it. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
