Yesterday's Obsession   The Phycle/ Complcated Mind  Pacemaker 262
The Phycle is one of the oddest records out of the Sixties Houston scene. It may have been the strangest thing Huey Meaux ever recorded. Strange things were happening in Space City, but the strangest thing about this song is what it is about - The Phycle - which is not a real word. The words to the song are dark and don't seem to shed any light into the mystery. This was a fairly easy record to pick up 30 years ago, but most copies have been bought up and held onto... because the throbbing vibe of this 45 has to be heard riding on your turntable. Complicated Mind is pretty good but nothing compares to The Phycle.
Condition:  The Phycle is visually VG++. A couple of light marrs across the intro grooves do not affect play.  Flip is M-.
I'll be putting up some rarer Texas Punk & Psych 45s this week.
