The item up for auction here is a 1975 copy of Yezda Urfa's Boris lp. This is not a recent 180 gram reissue of same but a 100% genuine example of what some consider an underground Prog/Psyche Masterpiece. Recorded at Universal in Chicago as a demo the Band would send to Record Companies in hope of getting a Record deal. I guess if you've read this far you probably know the Story so I will jump to condition details- the vinyl is BEAUTIFUL! So much so that I didn't even play it to hear what they sound like as YOU JUST DONT FIND RECORDS THIS CLEAN and I thought it should stay this pristine for somebody else to enjoy. There is an issue at the spindle hole on side 1 only (see pics) it is a tiny bit of paper loss and I want to say it probably happened at the Pressing Plant because simply put, this record wasn't played that much to have suffered any abuse from whoever has owned it in the past. On a strictly visual grading scale of 1-10 (10 would of course be a sealed or unopened record) I would hold the vinyl itself at a 9.5 as it is in a truly lovely condition. The cover is in nice shape but has a small bent corner and a little bit of ring wear too. Plus the bottom seam at the jackets opening has what looks like an inch and a half of a split in the paper. Not to be confused with a split seam- just the paper. I will leave it to the new Owner to fix or not, but none of these things detract from the overall appearance of the piece, but BECAUSE they are there (as minor as they are) I can only grade the cover a very strong 8.5. Not exactly a mint example of this Lp but close to it! I think a used original copy in better shape would be really, really hard to come by. In fact I doubt if I will ever see a better one so- good luck in your bidding and if you have any questions please just ask! Thank You
