Yo -Yo Ma / Chris Thile / Edgar Meyer Bach Trios Vinyl 2 LP +download

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2017 release, an album of Bach works recorded by cellist Yo-Yo Ma, mandolinist Chris Thile, and bassist Edgar Meyer. The album comprises works by J.S. Bach originally written for keyboard instruments, plus one sonata for viola da gamba. In 2011, Ma, Thile, and Meyerùalong with Stuart Duncanùcollaborated on The Goat Rodeo Sessions, which won two Grammy Awards. Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer's first recording together was the 1996 album Appalachia Waltz, which also featured fiddler Mark O'Connor; that album was followed by Appalachian Journey, also with O'Connor, in 2000. Thile then joined Meyer on Ma's 2008 holiday album, Songs of Joy and Peace, before the trio reunited, along with Stuart Duncan, for The Goat Rodeo Sessions, an album of original tunes drawing from the musicians' backgrounds in bluegrass, classical, and American roots music. As Ma told Billboard at that time: "How often do you work with people who are master virtuosos and also master improvisers and composers, who know at least two musical traditions unbelievably well?" He continued, "It's just extraordinary when you have people who can actually show on their instruments what they're thinking at any moment, without a delay. As soon as you think it, it gets transferred in your neuromusculature immediately into sound."

Orders placed after 3pm AEST (AU) Monday will be despatched the following week (i.e. around 10 working days after you place your order) - orders will usually arrive with you within the estimated delivery time in the listing.

Sorry NO express post. All orders are sent tracked within Australia, and generally tracked to the rest of the world. For overseas orders your delivery may take longer than stated by eBay, you as the buyer are responsible for any customs/duty charges that may apply outside AU.

Pickup can be arranged from our store in Melbourne East.

PLEASE NOTE: not all records are stored onsite so you MUST contact us if you select pickup to arrange a time to collect your order.

Typically any orders placed by Thursday can be picked up from the following Tuesday.

No refund can be given for postage charges on pickup due to fees paid.

Items may be returned to us if received damaged or faulty. We do not accept change of mind returns (see below).

If you need to return anything please get in touch with us directly so we can arrange the return - please don't use the eBay returns system as this limits how we can help you.

We do not accept change or mind ("buyer's remorse") returns.  Any items returned from outside Australia due to non-collection or non-payment of customs fees will be subject to a $30 AUD restocking fee and postage of goods sent out will NOT be refunded.  Overseas buyers please note; your order may be subject to customs charges and sales tax (VAT/GST) when entering your country, we have no control over these charges and will not refund any charges incurred.
