Yoko Ono "Fly" original USA 33 1/3 rpm long-playing (LP) two phonograph record set, Apple Records SVBB 3388, with gatefold album cover, and all inserts. This stereo double record album is still in it's original shrink wrap. Both stereo records have a custom label, a tan "whole apple" with a photo of Yoko Ono inside, and black print text, on one side, and a tan-and-white "cut apple" label, with black print text, on the other side. All labels are clean, with no writing on any side. This two-record set comes with custom printed inner sleeves, a poster of Yoko Ono with John Lennon and Yoko pictured golfing in the lenses of her mirror sunglasses, and a three-and-three-fourths-inch by five-and-three-fourths-inch order card (with a hole in the center) for Yoko's book "Grapefruit" on one side, and "A Hole To See The Sky Through - Yoko Ono '71" printed on the other side. Musicians appearing on the album include Yoko Ono (voices, claves), John Lennon (guitar, piano, organ), Eric Clapton (guitar), Ringo Starr (drums), Klaus Voormann (bass, guitar, bells, cymbal, percussion), Jim Keltner (drums, percussion, tabla, tuned drum), Jim Gordon (drums, tabla), Bobby Keys (claves), Chris Osborne (dobro), and Joe Jones Tone Deaf Music Company. "Fly" was recorded at Ascot Sound Studios, and at The Record Plant, New York City. "Fly" was released in the United States, on September 20, 1971. The songs on the records are (Side One) "Midsummer New York" (3:50), "Mind Train" (16:52), (Side Two) "Mind Holes" (2:45), "Don't Worry Kyoko" (4:55), "Mrs. Lennon" (4:10), "Hirake" (3:32), "Toilet Piece" / "Unknown" (0:30), "O'Wind (Body Is The Scar Of Your Mind)" (5:22), (Side Three) "Airmale" (10:40), "Don't Count The Waves" (5:26), "You" (9:00), (Side Four) "Fly" (22:53), and "Telephone Piece" (0:10). All songs were written by Yoko Ono. The records were produced by Yoko Ono and John Lennon. Front and back cover photos and design by John Lennon. This two-phonograph record set is still in it's original shrink wrap (split open on the right side); the discs have never been played, and are in mint condition. The records come in custom Apple Records paper sleeves. The gatefold album cover is in near mint condition. There are no cutout marks of any kind. The poster and the card are both in mint condition. The records, sleeves, poster, card, and album cover come in a clear protective sleeve. This is the nicest copy of this two-record set that you could find. "The Official Price Guide To The Beatles Records And Memorabilia Second Edition" (1999) lists a near mint copy of "Fly" at $39.00 (double album $30.00/custom printed liner sleeves $2.00/poster $4.00/card with a hole in the center $3.00). That is a seven-year-old price. This copy is MUCH better than "near mint" ... the album cover is still in the original shrink wrap, and the records are unplayed, and in mint condition. The ONLY reason that the double album was carefully opened was to examine the contents, so that they could be verified, and listed.
