Description
YOKO ONO - 'PLASTIC ONO BAND'
1970 UK 1st PRESSING LP
This hard to find and underrated LP released alongside John's LP of the same name, features some of Lennon's best guitar work.
This disc is a UK 1970 1st pressing on a custom black & white Apple label: SAPCOR 17
Housed in a fully laminated cover & complete with its original printed inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: SAPCOR 17 A-1U & SAPCOR 17 B-1U
Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/G
These mother/stamper codes confirm this copy as being one of the first few hundred pressed.
Disc weight: 143g
CONDITION
Disc
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A superb pair with just a handful of light spindle marks around each centre hole.
Visual: 1. VERY GOOD 2. VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean glossy but side 1 in particular displays a number of small scratches - a few of which can be felt beneath the fingertips. However, this disc has clearly not been played very often at all and is otherwise in very respectable condition.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This rarely played disc is without any traces of groove or play wear throughout. My playcheck found some occasional clicks from the abovementioned blemishes, but no jumps, repeats or any other audible faults.
Cover
EXCELLENT
An impressive example which retains its high-gloss all-round laminate with no significant signs of wear throughout.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT -
Clean & flat with minor handling wear but no writing, tears or splits.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 transcription turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
