Six years ago, Kerri Chandler and Dennis Quin joined forces with vocalist Troy Demari to deliver a fine NYC house re-make of the System's 80s electrofunk classic 'You're In My System' - a cut Chandler himself remixed back in 1998. Here Chandler and Quin's 2019 cover is given a makeover by fast-rising Nottingham house producer Philip George. He pushes up the tempo a little, reaches for swirling synths, tactile stabs and spacey noises aplenty, generally making an already brilliant record bigger, bolder and - whisper it quietly - better. The organ bass-propelled workout is presented in two takes: the A-side vocal version, where Demari's delivery of the System's catchy lyrics are pushed to the fore, and a more atmospheric Instrumental pass.
