Description
Limited release of original Grinch theme song from 1995 on Mercury label, green vinyl. The song is in the original 30 minute animated classic from the late sixties. I'm sure it will begin to be shown several times in the coming weeks on TV along with Rudolph, Frosty, etc. Same song is on both sides. Record has been in my possession since 1995 and has never been played. No visible signs of damage or warpage. Only reason I am not stating it as in Mint (M) condition is because it is 24 years old - it wasn't just pressed recently. It has been kept in a cool, dry location out of sunlight. As you can see in the photo the vinyl looks perfect. It is still in its' original sleeve with UPC label. You're a mean one Mr. Grinch is a classic and fun to play over the holidays. Great if you have a jukebox with other Christmas records loaded up or if you just want to have it for display. I am starting the bid price on this for much less than what appears to be the going retail value at the moment - around $100. I have been collecting records for a long time and am going to be thinning my collection a bit over the coming weeks. Mostly original release 45's and LP's in various states and conditions from the past 65 years or so. I will actually play grade each one on a turntable, not just visually like a lot of folks do - there's a big difference - unless it is like this one and I know that it's never been played.
