Yukiko Okada, an idol singer nicknamed “Yukko”. She was expected to be the “post Seiko Matsuda,” but died a shocking death in the spring of 1986 at the age of just 18. With the recent reevaluation of city pop music, Summer Beach, one of Yukko's most popular songs composed by Ami Ozaki, was featured in the Showa Groove series, in which Korean producer/DJ Night Tempo updates 80's Japanese pop music, and has attracted worldwide attention. Even now, she is an eternal charismatic idol who has scattered like a dream, with a passionate overseas fan base.

The song describes the graduation celebration dinner alone with her boyfriend after the graduation ceremony and their first kiss. Composed by Ami Ozaki and arranged by Masataka Matsutoya. The song is a commercial song for Toshiba's “Let's Chat”.

The title song was written by Seiko Matsuda and composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto of YMO, a dream tag team of producers. It was used as a commercial song for Kanebo Cosmetics. Matsuda said, “I thought the content of the song was too sexy, but when Yukiko sang it, it became a cute and glamorous song.
It was Yukko's biggest hit and the first and last to reach No. 1 on the Oricon charts. It was also her last single before her death, as she passed away on April 8, about two months after the release of this single.
It is a wonderful, sparkling Kayou techno-pop tune!
