Yusef Lateef and his Jazz Quintet ' The dreamer ' SAVOY MG 12139 (USA) red label with deep groove - rec. on June 11, 1959 - original 1959 issue - on trail-off (dead wax) has the 'RVG' for Rudy Van Gelder Yusef Lateef : tenor sax, flute, oboe, argol - Bernard McKinney : euphonium - Terry Pollard : piano - William Austin : bass - Frank Gant : drums Side A : Oboe blues (Lateef) - Angel eyes (Loveland) - The dreamer (Lateef) Side B : Arjuna (Woodley) - Can't help lovin' that man (Kern-Hammerstein) Visual grading : record is EX full lustre has light wear. Clean labels with very light spindle wear. Both labels have the stamp 'Sample copy - Not for sale' Playing grading : record is EX plays very well with loud and clear sound. Has few very light occasional ticks Cover grading : cover is VG to VG+ has wear to corners, edges and to spine. Top right corner has been repaired for a short seam split. Laminated front cover is clean with very light rubbing on top. Back cover has age yellowing and some rubbing.
