Description
Up for grabs here are two mint unplayed and (until being photographed) unopened copies of Yvonne Lefebure playing (on one record) Beethoven's Sonata No 1 in F minor Op 2 No 1, Sonata No 32 in C minor Op 111 and Eight Bagatelles Op 33, and on the other Ravel's G minor Piano Concerto and Le Tombeau de Couperin.
I bought these when they first came out in the late 1990s for my father. However, he has never played them as his hearing was (by then) already too far gone for him to be able to enjoy any form of music. This was particularly hard for him as he was an avid and accomplished amateur viola player and was denied being able to enjoy probably his greatest love. He is now profoundly deaf.
These two records have been sitting on his record shelf for the past few years, and have never ever been taken out of their covers. The inner sleeves were only partially removed from the outers in order to photograph them for this sale. They are 'first edition' pressings from when Coup D'Archet first started out, and have become collectors' items over the past few years.
I can certainly vouch for the recordings as I bought myself an identical set, but mine are rather well worn, whereas these are absolutely mint, with immaculate covers, inner sleeves and the records are records untouched from when they were first put in their inner sleeves. The record numbers are COUP008 and 009.
I have listed the items as 'collection only' but I am more than happy to post or courier, with the cost of that and any insurance borne by the winning bidder. No charge is made for packing materials.
If you are non-UK please ask in advance for likely courier or shipping cost so no-one gets a nasty surprise. Collection is, of course, welcome. The records are not far from the A14, Midlands.
I have listed these as 'New', as there is no provision in eBay's system for listing something like this, which is totally 'as new' and unused. The only options are 'New' or 'Used'. These are NOT 'Used!
