Description

ZAKARRIAS - Same, originally released 1971 in the UK on Deram. Everybody knows (and seems to love) this unique hard progressive masterpiece with a light folky touch. Great songs, stunning musicianship and the magic voice of Zakarrias. For those who don't know already here's a short version of Zakarrias' biography: a guy from Vienna named Robert Haumer (aka Bobby Hammer) formed a heavy bluesy underground band "Expiration" and recorded one truly stunning 45 in Austria (It wasn't right) which is almost impossible to score nowadays. After that he went to London, was a member of "Magic Horse" and worked with Mitch Mitchell and John Lingwood....and made Zakarrias on Deram. After London he went to Germany and was a member of "Emergency" for several years to come back to Vienna in 1980. What we have here is the at least as rare as the first press slightly later (1973?) UK 2nd press of his amazing album on Deram/Nova (red) in non-laminated sleeve.
