GENERAL
I’m now in my late fifties and have finally decided to sell my private record collection from the late sixties and early seventies.
I was generally into so called “progressive or underground” music like Zappa, King Crimson, Soft Machine, Led Zeppelin, Roy Harper etc. and spent many happy hours frequenting the Roundhouse in Camden Town. Looking back I now feel the only progressive music at that time was from the Beatles. Each of their albums “progressed” on from the last.
I was always careful with my records and never lent them to friends or took them to parties. I held them at the edges and never put my fingers on the playing surface. Bit of an early anorak I suppose !
Many of them were kept in plastic outer sleeves and consequently the covers on many of them are still in pristine condition.
I decided to dust off the old Connoisseur record deck and play each one for one last time. I will play each one with the treble control turned up high.
I’m not a professional record dealer so will list each album as honestly as I can after I‘ve played it. If you buy one of my records and you are not happy with my description then return it and I will happily give you a full refund (excluding P & P). I have bought professional mailing card envelopes and stiffeners for postage or you are welcome to collect in person if you live locally (SL9 postcode). I can deliver worldwide. Please ask me for a quote outside of U.K. (Delivery includes insurance up to £36.00. Extra insurance available at Royal Mails standard rates.)
THIS RECORD.
FRANK ZAPPA - THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION - FREAK OUT - ORIGINAL 1966 VINYL MATRIX V6 5005 A1 & B1 - HARDLY EVER PLAYED
I bought this record new in 1966 and paid 39/11 (pre decimal currency) for it. You can still see the price sticker inside the sleeve. I always kept it in an extra outer plastic sleeve hence the cover is absolutely excellent. I only ever played this record about five or six times. I have just played it again today and it's like a brand new record. There are no ticks, even between tracks. The professional dealers would call this record near mint. I would call it virtually perfect.
I can deliver worldwide. Please ask me for P + P outside U.K.
