THIS IS A RARE STEREO COPY OF THE EXCELLENT 1964 UK ONLY LP FROM POLAND'S ZBIGNIEW NAMYSLOWSKI MODERN JAZZ QUARTET, "LOLA", DECCA SKL 4644. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL LP THAT AS WELL AS THE ALTO SAX OF THE EXCELLENT ZBIGNIEW NAMYSLOWSKI, FEATURES MORE THAN ABLE SUPPORT FROM, WLODZIMIERZ GULGOWSKI ON PIANO, TADEUSZ WOJCIK ON BASS AND CZESLAW BARTKOWSKI ON DRUMS. MANY REGARD THE OPENING TRACK "BEAUTIFUL LOLA, FLOWER OF THE NORTH" AS THE STANDOUT, BUT PERSONALLY I THINK THE WHOLE ALBUM IS STRONG AND DEFINITELY DESERVES WIDER EXPOSURE. THE VINYL IS IN AT LEAST NEAR MINT CONDITION, THERE ISN'T EVEN A SINGLE SCUFF, THE VINYL APPEARS TO BE PERFECT, THE ONLY CLUE THAT IT HAS EVER BEEN PLAYED IS A SINGLE SPINDLE MARK ON THE B SIDE LABEL. YOU WOULD FIND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND A BETTER COPY. I HAVE PLACED THE RECORD IN A NEW POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE, BUT NATURALLY THE ORIGINAL BLUE PRINTED DECCA ONE IS ALSO INCLUDED. THE PAST FORTY YEARS HAVEN'T TREATED THE SLEEVE QUIET SO WELL, THERE IS SLIGHT DISCOLOURATION FROM AGE AND SOME VERY SLIGHT DIRTYING ON THE REAR. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE A FEW SMALL CREASES IN IT THE LAMINATE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, THE ONLY SIGN OF LIFTING IS A SMALL APPROX 5x10mm PATCH ON THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER. GENERAL EDGE WEAR IS SLIGHT AND THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO SPLITS OR TEARS, OTHER THAN THE SLIGHT DISCOLOURATION IT'S IN VERY NICE CONDITION.
