Description
ZEB TURNER
June 1953
King Records was really good at combining R&B elements into some of their country records – realizing that there was quite a bit of a crossover audience there to begin with.
This one from Zeb Turner actually even starts with a heavy saxophone presence in the band! This Virginia singer had already had a bit of success at King with songs like “Chew Tobacco Rag,” and “Tennessee Boogie.” This one’s “You’re My Cutie Pie,” and “I’m Glad That It’s Over.” Both are Zeb originals.
