The International Studio Orchestra.Early heavy duty UK pressed Sylvester Music Library mono LP, SMC/LP 505.
Vinyl still has a very high gloss and does not appear to have received a great deal of plays. There are few detectable spider trail marks around the spindle areas. The playing surfaces still have a good gloss and for the most part display just a few minor hairline surface scuffs, no deep marks or scratches. However, there are some whitish patterned patination marks to the vinyl. These cannot be felt to the touch and I cannot make up my mind if these are inherent in the press or the result of leeching with the poly-lined inner.
Either way, this is a superbly atmospheric library LP and a very well recorded and loud mono cut which sounds great at loud volume. Playback is conservatively graded as VG+. The surfaces are underlyingly quiet but some occasional light crackle and isolated soft ticks are heard. The LP still provides a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience with background noise, although noticeable, never being a great distraction. No loud crackle, no loud or consecutive ticks.
Note that any dark marks to the vinyl in the photo are merely reflections.
Labels are clean and undefaced.
Sleeve VG plus. Structurally sound with main panels free of loss or inscriptions. Edges sound, entry side and spine tidy. Predominantly white and matt rear panel has some overall age and handling toning and minor tan staining, although this mostly confined to extremities.
