ZEPHYR - Rare Tommy Bolin 1969 Prog Rock LP on Probe

All records are from my own personal collection, built up since the early 1960’s and have genuinely been played very little and then only on quality turntables, (Garrard Zero 100, Lab 80 and Goldring GL75), set up with a low tracking force, using Shure, then Grado then Stanton cartridges over the years. All records have been dry stored, vertically, in the dark and only ever played by myself.

If you are interested in British early R & B and Progressive Rock Bands and the USA West Coast bands of the time then please add me to your favourites as I do have some rarities that I have never seen on eBay. I do not go in for all the b******t about rare first pressings and the excessive detailing of group histories that I see other sellers boring eBay members with and will describe the records honestly, just indicating the basics.

This auction is for an album that I bought from Harrods (!), who always had a good progressive rock selection back in the 1960’s and 1970’s and is an EMI UK issue of the ABS Records USA classic with a Garrod & Lofthouse cover in pretty good condition; just one small crease in the foldover flap and slight edge creasing.

The record itself is clean, with some spindle marks on the label but no sleeve marks on the surface; there are no surface noise, crackles, pops, jumps or scratches of any kind.
Using the Record Collector grading system; both the cover sleeve and the vinyl are Excellent

I thought that this was the *only Zephyr record and in style is very like the Spirit of John Morgan meets Big Brother & The Holding Company! There are several good tracks and the second side is definitely the better, finishing with the huge riff based blues track, "Hard Chargin’ Woman", (guitarist Tommy Bolin later went on to The James Gang and then Deep Purple of course, then he went and died in classic rock-god style).
