Ten months after the limited 1st pressing of their debut self-titled EP, and five months before the release of the debut full-length Simple Things, Zero 7 released EP2. Like its predecessor, this too was a Limited Edition release, and was also subsequently repressed (also in limited quantity). At the moment I have four copies of this album, 2 first pressings, one second pressing, and another copy with the jacket so worn out that I'm going to wind up giving it away.

Up for auction is one of my first pressing copies. This is a numbered version (unique to the 1st pressing) of this Limited Edition album; this copy is number 0835 (see photo). Three of these tracks would appear on Simple Things. The only track exclusive to this release is "Spinning Dub" which is an alternative version of "Spinning" which appeared on the UK 2CD version as well as the USA release of Simple Things, but not the original UK release. I loved Simple Things, but I'm an even bigger fan of their earlier instrumentals and remixes.

The vinyl itself is mint or near-mint with no visible marks or scratches and plays flawlessly. The jacket is another story. Every corner and every edge of the jacket shows signs of serious wear. There is some serious creasing on both left corners of the front cover (along the spine), and there is major scuffing along the top, bottom and spine (including tearing along the top where the vinyl punched through from the inside). With the exception of the two-inch-long tear on the top center, and a quarter-inch tear i the left center of the back cover (halfway between the tracklist and barcode), the rest of the damage is purely cosmetic, and strictly limited to the jacket.

While not as rare or valuable as the self-titled debut (aka EP1) this is still a rare, limited and out-of-print numbered EP, and these are increasingly hard to find. I'm going to start the bidding at $6.99, which is still a real deal despite the condition of the jacket.  To sweeten the deal I'm going to add a few bonus items. The first is a promo CDR issued by the label. It too is rare, but I honestly have no idea of the value of this item. Secondly, I'm going to throw in a [digital] copy of some of the rare, early Zero 7 tracks (mp3 format).

I recommend international buyers wait for an invoice before paying. Also, if I overcharge on International Shipping I will refund the difference - I'm not trying to profit on shipping, I just want to make sure I get enough to cover the costs. Sometimes I am able to ship for almost half what I charge (I try to do this whenever possible, but it depends on how I package the items and the final weight/measurement of that package). If I do ship for less, the difference gets refunded immediately after shipping. Always.
