Description
This is an LP record on the Columbia label featuring Eugene Ormandy conducting Zino Francescatti and the Philadelphia Orchestra in a performance of Brahm’s Concerto in D major for violin and orchestra, opus 77. This is a mono record, Columbia’s catalog number ML 5114, still sealed in its original plastic wrap - it was found in Canada, but I’m unsure if it is a US or Canadian pressing, although I would assume US as there is no “printed in Canada” on the cover, which I believe was mandated by law at that time. Very rare to find a record dating to 1956 still unopened in its original plastic wrap. Excellent addition for the violin vinyl collector!
