An extremely collectable copy of this hugely rare and highly sought after prog rock classic.

Both sides of the vinyl gleam! The lacquered sheen is fully in evidence and a joy to behold and the overall appearance of both sides of the vinyl is truly excellent. Look closely (and you do have to look very closely, and in good light) and there are a number of wispy hairlines on each side of the vinyl, but they are barely discernible. Certainly no scratching or scuffing. Very impressive for a 45 year old piece of classic vinyl!

Similarly the overall quality of the audio is excellent. There is the occasional, very light and intermittent hint of background crackle and this is more noticeable at the start of each side though this soon fades into insignificance as the thumping melodic rock riffs take over. A great listen!

The iconic Howards Printers outer gatefold sleeve is in very good condition, with original colouring intact. There is some mild scuffing on the bottom edge, however, along with a small blemish located in the bottom right hand corner where a label has been peeled off and a small (barely noticeable) stain adjacent to this blemish. There is also a small 1cm tear on the front side opening edge (perpendicular to the edge itself) accompanied by a 6cm crease, and each corner of the spine (more so the top one) suffer from noticeable scuffing. The spine itself is rigid and in very good condition though there is a small blemish located at the "Z" of "ZIOR". The reverse side is in great condition apart from a few light surface score marks towards the bottom left hand corner - only noticeable when viewed in a good light at the right angle. The inside of gatefold where the photo of the band and track listings are located is excellent. I have tried to display each of these faults in my photos and I don't want my description to give the impression that the condition of the gatefold is in anything other than very good overall condition because it's not...I'm just trying to be honest. In summary not perfect by any means but still highly presentable.

 Each label is excellent. There are a few light, surface only spindle marks around the centre holes (only really visible when held up to a bright light) but no unwanted writing or other blemishes. Near perfect.

Comes complete with original inner sleeve which suffers from some creasing towards the bottom two corners, but no splits or tears and remaining fully functional.

I take great care in removing the record from the outer sleeve in order to prevent sleeve damage in transit, and for items that sell for over £40 to non-UK bidders I insist upon postal insurance so please wait for an invoice before paying. I do NOT profiteer from postage costs. I DO take great care in minimising all risk thereby ensuring, as far as possible, that your purchase reaches it's destination in exactly the same condition as when I post it. Richard

Descriptions of any records I sell comply with the Rare Record Price Guide grading guidelines :

Mint

Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good

Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair 

Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor

Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad

Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
