This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

 Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

**AMAZING HEAVYWEIGHT QUALITY 165g**

The only reason the vinyl gets such a low rating is due to the fact there is a couple of small edge warps...This made my needle jump and skip when on a light setting, but when I adjusted the needle to the heaviest setting on my LINN BASIK IV V arm, I found she played through without a problem :)
The audio reproduced was lovely and clear too, with deep bass and clear highs.
There were the occasional soft background pop, but nothing bad at all....During the transition of the first few tracks on each side you could faintly hear the warps, but not when the tracks started playing.
QUALITY.

 There is some slight central hole wear-as can be seen in the detailed images provided, with many light spindle marks, but these are really only evident when angled towards the light.
 Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.

Now, here's the more unusual fact about this label:
Really rather rare "ZKT" tax code to side 1!
Unusual as the "ZT" tax code was only used from the 10th of April 1962 to the 26th of November 1962, where it was then replaced by the "PT" tax code, followed by the "MT" tax code, before finally turning into the well know "KT" tax code on the 1st of July 1963...So it is strange to have a mix of the ZT tax with the KT tax codes....

RARER 1st PRINTING EJ DAY COVER
( These were produced at roughly a ration of 1:10, compared to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers)
 There is some light wear to this cover-as can be seen in the images provided. However-she stays intact and remains strong.
The top seam has some rubbing, but not enough to go all the way through.
